Vacationing in Orlando provides the opportunity to take part in outdoor fun that, unlike in colder parts of the country, is available throughout the year. One source of such fun is Aquatica, which offers rides and attractions for all ages seeking water-based excitement, with options such as Riptide Race, Reef Plunge, and Taumata Racer testing how prepared you are for drops and plunges. You can take your friends and family along for the ride with KareKare Curl, Ray Rush, and Omaka Rocka. In between rides thrills, parents can take their kids to Walkabout Waters and Turi’s Kid Cove for lighter fun and games.

Fun for Kids

If you are staying at Aquatica for most of the day and need some time to relax, the park has activities that can keep your kids occupied. Sandy beaches allow your kids to build sandcastles and play other sand-based games, or they can take a dip in one of the park’s several wave pools. They can also experience beach and pool-based fun at Turi’s Kid Cove.

Relaxation

While Aquatica is a reliable source of excitement, every day at a theme park comes with time needed for relaxation. This park offers that opportunity in a variety of forms, such as lounge chairs for parents to unwind in while their kids play in the water. Cabanas are available in different forms to help adults relax in the shade with a nice cold drink. Another option is Loggerhead Lane, a lazy river that allows you to work on your tan while you float in the water and enjoy underwater views of fish and Commerson’s dolphins.

Animal Encounters

One of the more unique experiences of Aquatica is the opportunity to view aquatic life in-between rides. You can take your family and friends on a tour of the park’s Commerson’s dolphins, and zoological experts will explain everything you need to know about the habits and personalities of these mammals. Other aquatic life you will get to see on these tours include fish and leopard sharks.
