Tennis Courts & Clinic
Guests at The Bear’s Den have access to award-winning tennis facilities including the Tennis Centre featuring six clay “Hydro-Grid” tennis courts equipped for day and night play. The team of USPTA certified professionals are available for private lessons, group lessons, and clinics for adults and children of all skill levels.
The Tennis Centre houses a fully stocked pro shop that offers a wide array of top-quality gear and apparel, as well as professional racquet stringing services. For added convenience, the centre provides a top-of-the-line ball machine and racquet rentals. The friendly Pro Shop staff are always on hand, ready to assist guests and ensure an exceptional tennis experience.
Reserving a Court
Guests may reserve a court for $30 for 90 minutes of play. Two rackets and four balls are included with the court fee. Players must check-in at the Pro Shop prior to their court time. If you are reserving court time for late afternoon or evening play, please come to the Pro Shop prior to the shop’s 4:00pm closing time to check-in and receive your equipment; the Pro Shop team will put a Reserved sign on the court and leave the lights on for your time of play.
Tennis Drill Clinic
Daily tennis clinics with USPTA certified tennis instructors are available for guests to join to hone and improve their skills. You’ll find top-notch instruction and a quick pace during the instructional style games and drills. The coed clinic is geared for levels 3.0 and above (we average between 3.5 and 4.5). The cost is $45 per guest.

Meet the Resort's Tennis Pro Josh Surowski
Josh Surowski is an elite tennis professional with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). He is also accredited through the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) and is an International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) certified pickleball instructor. He has been at The Bear’s Den Resort Orlando for over 4 years.
Tennis Lessons
We recommend that guests make advanced reservations. Lessons aren’t available on Sundays.
