Autumn is one of the very best times to visit Orlando. Temperatures and crowd sizes drop and one-of-a-kind Halloween experiences — both playful and scary — begin. When you stay at The Bear’s Den Resort Orlando, you are just minutes away from Orlando’s world-class theme parks, where many of the seasonal events are planned. Take a look at our list of all the must-do celebrations and purchase your tickets now, before they sell out on popular dates!
Disney After Hours Boo Bas
Discover a new, frightfully fun event featuring Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings, trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom and more! Tickets are on sale now for this three-hour event that takes place on select nights from August 10 through October 31 at Walt Disney World. Tickets start at $129 for all ages and prices vary by date.
Halloween Horror Nights
Orlando’s premier event returns to Universal Resort Orlando for its 30th year on September 3 for select nights through October 31. You can’t escape your fear when you experience terrifying haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of the park’s most exhilarating attractions! Jack the Clown will be back as well, lunging from the shadows where you least expect. Not recommended for children younger than 13. Tickets start at $70.99 and are on sale now.
SeaWorld Spooktacular
SeaWorld Orlando is offering two distinct Halloween events this year. The gentler Spooktacular returns during daytime hours on weekends beginning September 18 through October 31 and is aimed at families with younger children. They can dress in costume, trick-or-treat in the park, attend a Halloween dance party and meet under-the-sea and Sesame Street characters. Spooktacular events are included in regular park admission.
Howl-o-Scream
Long a favorite Halloween event at Busch Gardens Tampa, Howl-o-Scream returns this year and also will take place at SeaWorld Orlando for the first time. The event takes place after hours at both parks Thursdays through Sundays from September 10 through October 31 and contains intense adult content, such as violence, gore, and blood in haunted houses, scare zones and other entertainment. Howl-O-Scream 2021 requires separate tickets, which start at $31.99. No costumes are allowed.
Brick or Treat
This October you can experience the spooky, kooky fun of LEGOLAND Florida’s Brick or Treat! Kids will find contactless trick-or-treating plus exclusive Halloween characters and performances throughout the park on Saturdays and Sundays in October. All guests are welcome to wear costumes, and Brick or Treat is included in park admission.
Gators, Ghosts and Goblins
Gatorland is bringing back its popular Gators, Ghosts and Goblins Halloween event for a third year of family fun and fright done right. The all-ages, daytime, family-friendly event takes place weekends from Oct. 9 through 31, 2021. It offers multiple themed haunt zones, interactive characters, animal meet-and-greets, Swamp Ghost’s Monster Museum, The Crocs and Cryptids Zone (where you can search for hidden cryptozoological beasts, including the park’s Skunk Ape!), and the Children’s Halloween Costume Parade with treat bags for participating kids. Guests are welcome to wear costumes (just nothing scary or gory).
Scream n' Stream
Drive in. Freak out. Load up the car with family and friends this Halloween. Drive inside a top-secret facility, known only as “Station 5”. Armed with laser guns, you and your group will come face to face with horrifying zombies and clowns. Can you blast your way to survival? Scream n’ Stream features live performers, elaborate lighting, surround sound, fog, and pyrotechnic effects — all from the comfort of your car. Scream n’ Stream takes place on select nights beginning Sept. 17 through Oct. 31 and is located near the Oviedo Mall. Tickets start at $47 per car (not per person).
The Haunted Road
One of the last remaining haunted roads in Central Florida is now a seasonal drive-thru experience, returning on Sept. 30 and continuing on select dates through Nov. 7. As you travel the Haunted Road, you will be disrupting spirits and witnessing on-demand ghost sightings. But proceed at your own risk: It is unclear if the spirits remain to ward off future victims or lure unsuspecting travelers to join them as part of The Haunted Road! (Please note: You may experience sudden and scary action and sounds at The Haunted Road that may not be suitable for young children.) Tickets start at $16.99 per person.
